King of the African Plains. I saw an old lion in Botswana, Africa and painted this when I got home. I am fascinated by how frightening and beautiful they are at the same time.
Thank you for your interest in my work! My intent is to interject motion and energy into each piece, and to tell a narrative through impressionism and the use of vibrant color. I paint with watercolor and transparent inks. I'm not a professional photographer, but I often take my camera with me....sometimes the magic happens through the lens, not with the paintbrush.
